Kings Park Playground, Stanley

Designed by the people who will use it

For many years, the Stanley community has told us they would like to see a new playground at Kings Park.

Now that funding has been allocated through the Community Recreation Fund, planning is underway.

Rather than deciding what the playground should look like ourselves, we'll be working with students from Stanley Primary School to help shape the design.

Young people will be asked what they enjoy, what kinds of equipment they'd like to see and how the playground can be enjoyed by children of different ages.

Their ideas will help create a playground that reflects what local families want, while also making Kings Park an even more welcoming place for visitors to Stanley.

The project supports the Vision 2050 goal of creating child-friendly towns and villages with attractive parks and public spaces that bring people together.
