Community Catch-Up Check In

Throughout 2026, Council has held Community Catch-Ups in Smithton, Stanley, Forest, Rocky Cape and Marrawah.

They’re a chance to have an informal chat with the Mayor and General Manager about local issues, ideas or anything Council-related.

You don’t have to wait for a Catch-Up to come to your area, you’re welcome to drop into any session across Circular Head.

Before we plan next year’s sessions, we’d like to know what worked well and what could be better.

Community Catch-Ups are promoted on Council’s website, in our monthly e-newsletter, the Western Echo and on Facebook — but do you feel like you know when and where they’re happening? We’d like to hear whether the way we promote them is working too.

We’ve already heard a few ideas, including holding sessions in places like Irishtown and Montagu and choosing venues that are quieter and easier to talk in.

Even if you didn’t come to a Community Catch-Up this year, we’d still really like to hear from you.

Take a few minutes to complete our short anonymous survey and help us plan the 2027 sessions.
