During the COVID-19 emergency Council have changed the way Council meetings will occur to protect public health and maintain social distancing. Premier Gutwein has issued a notice under the COVID-19 Disease Emergency (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 that allows Council to conduct meetings via video conference.
From April 2020 until further notice Council will be conducting Council meetings via video conference. The meetings will be closed to public attendance. The public will be able to watch the Council meeting at www.youtube.com/user/CircularHeadCouncil.
Public questions to the Council meeting maybe asked, but must be made in writing to Council and received by noon on the day of the meeting. Up to 15 minutes of the online meeting will be allocated to reading and responding to the public questions.

Council officers may make contact with you to clarify or verify any information prior to the question being read at the Council meeting. Council meetings commence at 6pm and a full list of meeting dates are shown below.
Ordinary Council meetings are usually held every third Thursday of the month, commencing at 6.00pm at the Council Chambers (33 Goldie Street, Smithton) Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings. Public question time is held twice during the meetings and anyone wishing to ask a question of Council is encouraged to attend.
Meeting Agendas are available for public inspection at the Council Office (33 Goldie Street, Smithton) on the Monday prior to the meeting.
