Church Street, Stanley Master Plan Kicks Off

Published 14th November 2025

Council has issued a Notice of Intent for the proposed closure of the Church Street junction where it meets Wharf Road, as part of the Church Street, Stanley Master Plan. An exciting project designed to improve safety, access and the visitor experience in the township. Making this section of Church Street one-way (see diagram in photos) was one of the key actions identified in the Master Plan, which was developed after extensive community consultation.

Works are set to commence this financial year, and we look forward to sharing more details soon.
