Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and the Environment
The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and the Environment (DPIPWE) provides technical advice and runs programs
on productivity and sustainability for a range of livestock and cropping industries. It works closely with producers, industry organisations and agribusiness companies.
The Department has published a number of documents relating to Tasmanian food, agriculture, soil and water resources and enterprise budgets which are available from their website. The Department also has responsibility for the licensing and management of wild fisheries and marine farming in Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Institute for Agricultural Research, a joint venture of the State Government and the University of Tasmania, undertakes research and development programs across a range of agricultural and horticultural industries.

Braddon Business Centre
The Department of Economic Development supports a state-wide network of Business Enterprise Centres which provide high
quality, confidential business advice and counselling services - at no cost - to people intending to start a business, and to people who require assistance in an existing small business.

Austrade
Austrade helps Australians succeed in export and international business by providing advice, market intelligence and support to
Australian companies to reduce the time, cost and risk involved in selecting, entering and developing international markets. Austrade also provides advice and guidance on overseas investment and joint venture opportunities.
Austrade administers the Export Market Development Grants scheme which provides financial assistance to eligible businesses through partial reimbursement of the costs of specified export promotion activities.

Cradle Coast Authority
The Cradle Coast Authority (CCA) is a joint authority created to co-ordinate and drive economic development across the nine local government areas of North-West and Western Tasmania. These include Latrobe, Devonport City, Kentish, Central Coast, Burnie City, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast, Circular Head and King Island Councils.
The Authority's primary role is the identification of economic development priorities and brokering of partnerships between the different levels of government, industry and community groups to address these priorities on a regional scale.
All regional development activities are funded through partnerships and funding agreements with other bodies.
