Community Grants

The 2023/2024 Community Grants Program for Round Two is NOW CLOSED!

Applications will close on 29 February 2024 and applicants will be advised of the outcome once Council has considered and determined the successful applications.

Each year Council provides funding to community groups through its Community Grants Program.

Grants are available to Circular Head based, not for profit organisations for projects that provide a benefit within the local community.

The scheme comprises of 6 categories:

  • Community Development
  • Community Facilities
  • Cultural Heritage
  • Community Events
  • Cultural Development
  • Sport, Recreation & Healthy Living

There are two grant rounds each financial year that close at the end of August and the end of February.

The Community Small Grants Scheme guidelines give applicants direction to demonstrate the need for funding and for the benefit to the people of Circular Head.

Council encourages groups who are completing an application to review the guidelines, the sample budget and use the Community Grants Budget template (listed below).

All information about eligibility, projects, requirements and assessment process are listed in the Guidelines.

The guidelines identify that there will be two types of financial assistance being:

  • Major Grants – up to $3,000
  • Minor Grants – up to $1,000

Special Interest Grants and their identified priority area will be advertised when available in particular grant rounds.

  • The application form must now be completed online
  • Supporting documents (including a budget) need to be attached
  • A co-contribution (cash or in-kind) will be required from the applicant

TIPS:

The online application form can not be saved and continued at another time.

We suggest you copy questions into a word document and write answers there, then transfer answers when completing online form.

Have a look at application form and see what documents you need to add to online form such as budget, quotes, letters of support. Have them ready when you start the online form.
