Circular Head Council will commence road widening and sealing works on Upper Scotchtown Road, starting on Tuesday 14 March 2023.
Small traffic delays will be in place at times and will be kept to a minimum.
These works are anticipated to take approximately 8 weeks, weather dependant.
The section of Upper Scotchtown Road to be upgraded is located in Smithton. It is a 2-lane unsealed rural access road of approximately 0.86 km. Works will include road widening, pavement and sealing, driveway upgrades as well as stormwater and drainage works.
Traffic management including lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the duration of the road works.
The project is wholly funded by the federal governments Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
