Circular Head Mayor Daryl Quilliam today said the Circular Head Council had engaged three local real estate agents to sell parcels of light industrial land on Nelson Street, Smithton.

“With at least two parties already registering interest in this land, this is a positive development for Circular Head,” Mayor Quilliam said.

“The Nelson Street land has undergone rehabilitation from its former use as a railway station and offers the prospect of new light industrial developments in Smithton.”

Mayor Quilliam said the agents would also be handling the sale of residential land on John Street, Smithton.

“This land has been for sale for some time and it is hoped with worked now close to commencing at Shree Mineral’s Nelson Bay site, there will be renewed interest in residential property,” Mayor Quilliam said.

The seven lot subdivision on Nelson Street and the four lots at John Street are being listed through PRDnationwide Smithton, Betty Kay Realty and Harcourts Circular Head.
