Circular Head Mayor Daryl Quilliam said the Circular Head War Memorial Pool would be reopen tomorrow (Friday 01 November 2013).

“Following an issue with the heater just over two weeks ago Council had to close the pool,” Mayor Quilliam said.

“Fortunately thanks to a temporary heater, we have been able to get the pool to stay at about 26C, which means we are able to reopen just in time for the long weekend.”

Mayor Quilliam said the pool would resume normal opening hours from tomorrow and season ticket holders’ tickets would be extended by two weeks.

Aqua Fit sessions will resume on Wednesday at 7pm.

“Due to the fact the heater is a temporary measure, the heating system and the temperature will have to be regularly reviewed,” Mayor Quilliam said.

“If the temperature does drop again, we will then have to consider whether we close the pool again.”

Mayor Quilliam said a longer term solution was in the process of being delivered.
