The 'boil water alert' issued to residents in the Irishtown and Irishtown Road areas on the 8^th April 2009, is now withdrawn.  According to Council's General Manager Mr Greg Winton the latest series of sample results taken from the supply satisfy the microbiological criteria of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.  "Weekly testing of the water supply will continue, however the drinking water guidelines do not require that the water be boiled before drinking'" says Mr Winton.
