Circular Head Council General Manager Greg Winton has advised Circular Head residents that Council will be undertaking an audit of Council’s stormwater network.

“Council approved funding for an audit of its urban stormwater network assets as part of the Annual Plan and Budget Estimates 2012/13,” Mr Winton said.

“The audit works involve lifting of manhole lids to measure pipe depths and sizes.

“All of this information is then collated to provide Council with a comprehensive database and mapping system.

“It is also an essential requirement of our auditors that Council have accurate, up to date records of its infrastructure.”

The audit works are planned to start on 2 July 2012 and continue until the end of September.  There may be times when Council officers are required to enter private property to inspect manholes.  The cooperation of those affected private property owners during this time is appreciated and Council offers thanks in advance.

For any queries regarding the audit works please contact Council’s Works Plus Manager Brian Blake on (03) 6452 4850.
