"Due to unforeseen circumstances both Councils have been informed that the NBN Discovery Truck will not be able to visit these areas as expected this week," Mr Winton said.

"We have been advised that the NBN Discovery Truck's visit will be rescheduled to visit these areas at a later date."

Mr Winton said while the cancellation was disappointing it was reassuring that both Councils had been offered a demonstration over the next two days.

"The NBN Discovery team will be visiting both the Waratah-Wynyard and Circular Head Councils to provide demonstrations to Councillors and staff of what the NBN has to offer," Mr Winton said.

"Unfortunately due to time restraints we were unable to promote the Wynyard visit, but the public is more than welcome to attend the demonstration in Smithton on Thursday."

The NBN Discovery team will be visiting the Circular Head Council chambers from 2.30pm on Thursday, February 2.
