Council has experienced higher levels of chlorination at the swimming pool during Saturday and Monday of this week at which the pool was closed to the Public to allow the treatment process to lower the levels of chlorine.

A malfunction with a dosing pump was discovered late Monday afternoon, this pump was siphoning chorine through whilst not operating.

The pool was reopened for school learn to swim programs at 9am Tuesday morning with all testing at normal levels.

Council apologises to the public for any inconveniences that have occurred through this malfunction.
