Animal Control

Circular Head Council employs an Animal Control Officer on a contract basis, this Contractor is responsible for animal and dog control issues at large (except cats), impounding of stray animals, euthanising and following up on complaints.

• The dog registration period will apply from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009.
• Upon provision of receipt for the purchase of a dog and subsequent registration of that dog, if paid within thirty-one days of such purchase, the reduced fee shall apply.
• A certificate of sterilisation to be produced for any newly sterilised dog before claiming the reduced fee.
• Dogs owned/used by the disabled are free of any fee.
