Twilight on the Duck Sponsorship Welcomed

10 December 2014

Twilight on the Duck committee spokesperson Deb Mainwaring welcomed the commitment of $5000 of sponsorship from Tall Timbers Tasmania and Tasmanian Seafood.

“The support of sponsors is essential to the success of Twilight on the Duck, which has become one of the biggest events in Circular Head each year,” Ms Mainwaring said.

“Without this support we would not be able to provide the wide variety of activities that have made this the event that it is.”

In its sixth year, Twilight on the Duck this year will feature acts such as Agent 99, local band Charlie Don’t Surf,  as well as the return of the Duck Pedal, Duck Dash, Australia Day Award Announcements and of course the fireworks display. The Amazing Drumming Monkeys will provide entertainment for children of all ages.

“Again we have been very busily working away with Cradle Coast Sports and Events on next year’s program and it promises to be as big as ever,” Ms Mainwaring said.

“The return of the popular Graze the Region food and wine area will also ensure that every taste is well catered for throughout the day.”

Nominations for Australia Day Awards are open until Friday 12 December. More information and nomination forms are available from Council or

“Crowd estimates of 4000 patrons at the West Esplanade site, and many hundreds more who watch the fireworks from other vantage points, have demonstrated the community support for the celebration,” Ms Mainwaring said.

“It is thanks to our sponsors, and of course many volunteers, that we are able to continue holding this event.”
