Smithton Hospital

The Hospital provides the Smithton Community with 16 acute care beds, an Accident and Emergency Service and Visiting Services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinic, Obstetric Services and Continence Services. The site includes the Ambrose Nursing Home which has 22 high care residential aged care beds. A range of community services are also provided from the hospital including Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care and Home Maintenance.

Smithton District Hospital is a teaching site for a number of health disciplines.

The Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Other services located within the hospital operate Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
